To drive continued success in this exciting Medical Device field, we are seeking a Lab Engineer Scientist to join our winning team.

Job Summary:

The incumbent will join a team of scientists for development of immunoassays used for In Vitro Diagnostics.

Essential Functions:

  • Follow all necessary laboratory chemical safety and biosafety rules as well as operation protocols.
  • Conduct studies to optimize reagent formulations and reaction conditions for immunoassays on automated IA analyzers.
  • Performing basic statistical data analysis for test results.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation issues when they occur.

Position Specifications:

1. Knowledge/Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor, or Master Degree, with 0-5 years relevant experience in Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry, Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or other related field with hands on laboratory experience.
  • Previous experience in assay development or clinical laboratory is preferred.
  • ASCP certification is a plus.
  • Having research publications is a plus but not required.
2. Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in laboratory instrument setup, operation and maintenance.
  • Capable of performing data analysis using statistical tools.
  • Good analytical skills and detail-oriented.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point etc.).

3. Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Able to lift < 10 lbs.
  • Able to sit and stand.
