About the Job

Responsibilities

*80% Study Implementation and Coordination:
Act as primary study coordinator for new and ongoing studies. Partner on development of appropriate systems, procedures, and study specific materials to meet protocol requirements. Facilitate study recruitment and retention efforts. Conduct study visits including but not limited to consenting and data collection, while ensuring protocol compliance. Serve as the main point of contact for study participants and their families, ensuring participant safety and a positive study participation experience.


*10 % Data Management:
Data entry and database monitoring to ensure data accuracy and quality. Interact with data processing staff within the University to facilitate program needs. Assist with minor data analysis and preparation of study reports. Other duties as assigned.

*10 % Regulatory Assistance and Response:
Collaborate with Regulatory Manager and other staff to resolve regulatory queries and ensure regulatory compliance. Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders to communicate project processes and updates.

Position Summary
The Center for Pediatric Obesity Medicine (CPOM) is seeking a full-time Research Coordinator to join an interdisciplinary team focused on improving outcomes for children and adolescents. The Research Coordinator ensures a positive study participant experience while also ensuring project progress and adherence to regulatory and data standards across multiple ongoing projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable and experienced in a fast-paced and service oriented setting. The position requires experience with data quality principles and human-subject research.

This is a full-time, in-person position. Must be available to see study participants in the CPOM research clinic during normal business hours, with occasional evenings and weekends, depending on study needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

*BA/BS in health-related field plus 2 years or more of research experience as study coordinator (or equivalent) in a biomedical health-related field or a combination of related education and work experience to equal 6 years.

*Experience with data management

*Demonstrated detail-orientation with exceptional organizational, planning and problem-solving skills

*Demonstrated ability to work independently, as a part of a team and with changing and competing priorities

*Demonstrated ability to maintain deadlines and prioritize assignments

*Experience in a public-facing role with strong communications skills

*Available to work full-time and in-person, with some flexibility for occasional evening or weekend hours. This is not a remote position


Preferred Qualifications

*Experience coordinating and managing clinical trials

*Experience working in an academic medicine setting

*Experience working with children, adolescents and families in the context of health-related initiatives/projects

*Demonstrated ability to independently manage a research protocol

*Experience with FDA-specific regulatory activities

*Experience with REDCap

*Oral and written proficiency in Spanish
