The Physician Assistant is responsible to provide healthcare services to patients in the clinic (and potentially in surgery), under direction and responsibility of physician(s).
Full-time role, Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm, on-call as well out of our Edina location. Additional work locations: North Metro Surgery Center, Edina Specialty Surgery Center and Twin Cities Eye Consultants Coon Rapids.

Essential Functions:
- Assist physician in the clinic (e.g., room and prep patients; order x-rays; compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination)
- Ideally have a passion and interest in injectables, skin care, and cosmetic surgical care
- Implement patient management plans, record progress, and assist in provision of care
- Consultations with (phone or in-person) patients
- Prescribe medications
- Perform on-call duties
- Potentially assist surgeon in operating room (e.g., pre-surgery planning, check for proper instruments, assist in surgical procedure, close wound, remove patient)
- Occasionally participate in community functions relating to outreach events throughout the year
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification
- Minnesota Board of Medical Practice registration/license
- DEA registration

- Work in the clinic, office or surgery center during business hours
- Travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery center (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
- Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
- Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
- Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
- Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Understand and execute a variety of instructions
- Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel to other work locations, if required
