Job Description

Intermediate District 287 is looking for a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) to be the ITRAC (Intermediate District Teacher Residency Apprenticeship Collaborative) District Navigator.

This position will support and engage with the Journey Workers and Apprentices throughout the ITRAC Program. This position includes collaboration with multiple team members including, ITRAC District Coordinator, and ITRAC Liaison and university partners to align supports for the teacher apprentice.

    We are a trauma-informed district. We take into account past trauma and the resulting coping mechanisms when attempting to understand behaviors and best serve our students. There is a variety of support services in each school including School Social Workers, Psychologists, Counselors, Behavior Intervention Specialists and Student Safety Coaches. All of whom are student-centered and focused on building relationships with each child. Salary & Benefits:

Requirements

    Have at least three years of experience teaching ASD and/or EBD with a minimum of 1 year in an intermediate district Demonstrate racial consciousness and a commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy Tier 4 license in ASD and/or EBD View the Job Classification
