Job Description

We are currently looking for an audiology assistant for our Audiology Department. Position is eligible for full-time benefits including medical and dental insurance.

Job Description:

Assist Audiologist in the performance of audiological evaluations and the fitting of hearing aids. Provide direct patient support for walk-in and telephone hearing aid problems. Maintain a safe work area and ensure that it is adequately stocked, cleaned and organized.
All programs and activities are designed to support the short- and long-term mission, vision, goals, and objectives of HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; plus one year experience or training in a medical/clinical setting or experience as an Audiology Assistant is preferred (OR a degree in Communication Disorders or related field)
  • One or more years of experience in a customer service or business setting required.
  • Current CPR certification required for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Skills:

  • Must be dependable, professional, punctual and have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to interact with patients and staff in a courteous and cooperative manner, demonstrating compassion and caring in all interactions.
  • Able to understand patient education needs and effectively share information with patients, family members and clinic staff as needed.
  • Able to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.
  • Able to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks.
  • Able to remain calm in stressful situations. Able to maintain confidentiality by handling confidential material in a responsible and discrete manner.

Computer proficiency:

  • Keyboarding skills
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Experience using Internet
  • Must be able to learn Epic electronic medical record system
