Job Description

Performs necessary repairs and improvements of the building and its equipment with direction from the Manufacturing Manager.

Coordinates outside contractors for ground maintenance and snow removal.

Monitors operation of plant and facilities equipment and systems.

Participates in plant safety, health and environmental programs.

Performs, coordinates and maintains plant equipment preventative maintenance.

24-hour on-call status for facility emergencies.

Supports manufacturing by obtaining qualifications such machine operator, blasting and painting.

Knowledge Requirements: High School Degree or equivalent.

Experience: 3 - 6 years in shop/facility maintenance.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
* General knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, State safety regulations and environmental polices.
* General knowledge of various skilled trades such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical as well as grounds maintenance.
* Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple projects and assignments, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Skilled in the use of computers, including email, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents.
* Demonstrates the ability to work independently
* Effective written, oral, and communication skills
* Problem solving skills to reflect the levels of responsibility
* The ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
* The ability to identify areas in need of immediate improvements with the ability to make recommendations or implementations.
* Results oriented and team player.
* Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
