The Career - What it is:

Apothecary Products (APL) is currently seeking a Group Lead, Warehouse Operations to join our Warehouse Operations team providing guidance, work direction, assistance, and leadership to a group of about 10 warehouse team members. In our mid-sized wellness products organization, the Group Lead will be a hands-on warehouse team member while also influencing the activities, processes, and results of a broad range of warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and more. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role and capacity with proven ability to lead others driving team success.

In this role the incumbent will:

    Provide daily work assignments to the warehouse team under leadership direction, including changed in priorities and work assignments to ensure schedules and deadlines are met successfully
  • Serve as primary for solutions to questions, area abnormalities and able to resolve issues using critical thinking
  • Lead by example and encourage others to follow APL policies, standards, and work processes
  • Perform skilled and advanced Warehouse Management System duties including inventory movements, generating work orders, documentation, cycle counting and returns process
  • Perform general warehouse duties such as picking/packing, load/unload trucks, palletize, and material handling
  • Serve as a trainer for designated work areas

Qualifications + Experience:

We seek applicants with these critical skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
  • 3+ years related work experience in warehouse environment including 1+ year in a leadership role providing work direction
  • Results driven, innovative, creative, and action-oriented with ability to align and energize teams in non-reporting structure
  • Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to respond well under pressure of deadlines, willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to be a hands-on leader
  • Ability to operate warehouse tools such as electric power jack, reach truck, stock picker, and successfully pass initial forklift certification course and recertify every 3 years
  • Proficient using technology tools including Microsoft Office, ERP, and warehouse management systems

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Forklift experience a plus
