Principal Solutions Analyst
Performs and conducts the most difficult and complex technical analysis, support, and integrations for the County's interconnected applications and platforms. Provides subject matter expertise on the technologies purchased as a service and/or deployed on premise in support of County business. Key role for support for service interruptions and persistent problems. Manages and coordinates work done by service providers on behalf of the County.

Solutions Enterprise Architect
Under general guidance, design and develop the enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms required to meet business outcomes while addressing problems of system integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Evaluate existing systems; provide authoring contributions to the knowledge bases used in support of daily operations; work with the division managers and work collaboratively with project teams to develop and maintain technical and security standards including developing and maintaining policies and procedures. Accountable for data security and integrity enterprise wide. Serving as a lead, provide direction and training to other IT Professionals.

Principal Solutions Analyst: 92,457 - 130,527
Solutions Enterprise Architect: 99,856 - 140,973

NOTE: The incumbent will be on-site during the onboarding and training process, then transition into a hybrid role.

Essential Duties

Principal Solutions Analyst

  • Configures and/or makes recommendations for systems and system security.
  • Identifies opportunities for automation across systems.
  • Implements technology solutions for system architectures, new initiatives, and business process improvements.
  • Participates in testing and trial runs of new and revised systems; identifies and uses appropriate debugging techniques.
Architect
  • Contribute to the planning of the overall County IT strategy, provide advice and guidance towards desirable outcomes.
  • Create business architecture models to reflect the County's strategies and goals; create and implement the County's strategies and goals.
  • Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to the IT Department, county administrators and leaders.

Minimum Qualifications

Principal Solutions Analyst:

  • Requires equivalency of a bachelor's degree in computer sciences or a related field and five years advanced level IT experience.

  • Experience in a medium to large service industry organization is essential.

  • Incumbent must have a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.

PREFERRED:

Preference given for systems and database design experience in a client/server and/or web-based environment.


Architect:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS) or related field, and seven years of progressively responsible IT experience with methods, systems, and analysis in application development, data management, infrastructure, or security in a complex, medium to large-scale network environment, including two years of experience in architecture design.
  • Must have experience with third party vendor management to support critical systems.
  • Must have received satisfactory or better performance in the previous job evaluation, be recommended for promotion by the CIO, and be approved for promotion by the Deputy County Administrator.
PREFERRED:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS) or related field, and ten years of progressively responsible IT experience with methods, systems, and analysis in application development, data management or security in a complex, medium to large-scale network environment, including four years of experience in architecture design.
Selection Process

Selection for this position will be based on a minimum qualifications screening and rating of training and experience. Top candidates will be forwarded to the hiring manager or supervisor for consideration for interview and/or additional assessments. Final selection will include a background check and approval by the County Board.
