Adventures Plus - Child Care Assistants - Lane 2 - Part-time / Casual hours
Part-Time - Casual hours as needed (most assignments will be split shifts)

Adventures Plus is a child care program providing before and after school care for elementary age students and is located in various elementary schools throughout the District.

Duties: Lane 2 Child Care Assistants support a child with special needs, according to the child's inclusion plan. Supervise and interact with school-age children and assist in planning appropriate activities. Perform a group leadership role if requested. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. 120 hours of education in a child related area -or- 12 quarter credits in a child related area -or- completion of the Para Pro Assessment, PLUS six months consistent employment working with children. Proof of CPI certification, or the ability to pass the CPI class (class provided free of charge by Adventures Plus upon hire). 1040 hours of paid experience working with children. Current First Aid certification or the ability to pass the CPR class (class provided free of charge by Adventures Plus upon hire). Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building.

Rate of Pay: $18.00/hour; $18.75/hour with AA degree. This position is premium pay eligible.
