Maintenance Programs Analyst Overview:

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Maintenance Programs Analystwho is responsible for the control, management, and administration of Sun Country Airlines' Aircraft Maintenance and Reliability Programs.

Essential roles and responsibilities of the Maintenance Programs Analyst:

  • Perform analysis and develop recommendations for selection and development of optimum aircraft maintenance programs for aircraft operated by Sun Country Airlines.
  • Perform ongoing review and revision to maintenance programs as appropriate to assure currency with regards to technical, operation, financial requirements, and objectives of Sun Country Airlines.
  • Write, package, and distribute job cards as required for administration of the maintenance programs. Create and maintain a system of storage, revision, and distribution of work cards and related documents.
  • Continually review the aircraft maintenance specifications, and revise as determined appropriate in response to FAA requirements, manufacturer's recommendations, Sun Country Airlines' experience, and industry reports.
  • Provide timely notification and explanation to the FAA concerning any changes, or proposed changes, affecting the maintenance programs.
  • Establish a follow-up system with regard to all tasks under the control of the maintenance programs to insure that safety or performance are not compromised by ambiguity, or questions of applicability or resource availability.
  • Establish and maintain a system of information interchange with manufacturer's vendors and other operators in order to establish a broad baseline for comparison and improvement.
  • Monitor the development of the computerization of the maintenance programs, and promptly address problem areas.
  • Serve as the initial contact person with regard to queries concerning the maintenance programs, and related computer network activities.
  • Perform research necessary to develop and improve maintenance programs for the fleet.
  • Accomplish all necessary follow-up action to ensure the effectiveness of any changes to the maintenance program.
  • Set up new or revised maintenance requirements in the maintenance computer system TRAX.
  • Produce and revise work cards using TRAX.
  • Assist the Planning Department where necessary, in compiling check work packages.
  • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines.

The qualifications we are looking for in a Maintenance Programs Analyst:

  • College degree and/or two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and operations
  • Must be computer proficient (Microsoft Applications)
  • Excellent organizational, mathematical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external associates
  • Ability to respond to correspondence and inquiries in a business appropriate manner
  • Motivated, self-starter
  • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines

    Preferred requirements:

    • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
    • Aviation degree with related experience
    • Experience in aircraft maintenance programs
    • Background in line/hangar aircraft maintenance
    • Experience with computer base maintenance tracking systems (TRAX)
    • Experience using Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional
