Job Description

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Vice President of Capital Markets to join our team! This role is responsible for raising private capital from ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, Registered Investment Advisors (RIA) and other non-institutional sources focused on direct investment in real estate, with target investments between $5-50M. This individual will have a leadership role on the Capital Markets team focused on cultivating new and unique capital relationships while managing existing investor relationships.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Vice President of Capital Markets and other senior leadership to develop and implement Ryan's private capital strategy
  • Work with asset management team to advance Ryan's reporting capabilities for our private capital investors
  • Raise private equity LP capital that can be used in lieu of institutional LP equity for Ryan developments and/or acquired properties
  • Selectively raise private equity GP capital that will capitalize large Ryan developments and/or acquired properties
  • Develop a business development plan to identify potential new private capital investors
  • Formulate and execute on Ryan sponsored investor conferences and retreats
  • Oversee relationships with brokers, attorneys, accountants, and other resources to grow Ryan's private capital relationships
  • Collaborate with other business lines including asset management, development, legal, marketing, and accounting
  • Implement and maintain a department capital plan including assigned capital providers and incorporation of new capital providers

To be successful in this role, a bachelor's degree is required. The ideal candidate will have between 10-20 years' experience in real estate capital raising and capital markets with real estate developers, operators, private equity firms, investment managers, and/or placement agents. This professional will also demonstrate knowledge and experience with commercial real estate as investable asset class.

  • Lead by example, display honesty, integrity, and good judgment while maintaining high standards
  • Have an MBA or Master's degree in Real Estate
