Here's how a(n)Solar Project Analystfor our Solar USAoffice contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
  • Work with the different projects to review forecast monthly reports, and ensure on-time submittal along with proper backup documentation.
  • Review compliance of R&O Logs. Assess and analyze probability of likelihood to produce an accurate and reliable risk and opportunity value.
  • Ensure progress and productivity reports are stablished from the beginning of the project in a weekly and monthly basis.
    • Follow up with project site teams to ensure the internal weekly reviews are in place
    • Review P&P in a weekly basis and provide valuable feedback to the site teams when trending productivities present a risk to the project
    • Ensure progress is accurate to produce reliable reports
  • Implement the proper use of MatX and Asset for material and equipment tracking and inventory.
    • Ensure equip rates, start and end dates are properly maintained
    • Monitor unutilized equipment is taken off rent or site storage for PCL internal resources
  • Support operations management to properly assess staff resources across all current and future projects.
  • Manage future project schedules and the overlay of schedules to assist with equipment and staff requirements.
    • Ensure scheduling best practices are followed on the weekly and monthly updates
    • Manage, monitor and balance the Solar Scheduler work load
  • Constant review and analysis of cost code structure to ensure cost is properly allocated to the codes per the Solar CC WBS.
    • Direct Labor cost codes for progress and productivity tracking and historical installation rates
    • Staff for the different group categories
    • Equipment by the equip type
    • Subs and material per the Solar CC WBS to provide consistency across US Solar
  • Keep and update historical project data for future project pursuits.
  • Assist site team with all facets of the planning, monitoring, execution, and close out of each project.
  • Assist in the development of standard operations procedures.
  • Provide support with the creation of weekly, monthly and annual reports to boost consistency and standardization across the Solar district.
  • Ensure the use of PCL software systems across all projects and provide continues training to the new and existing staff.
  • Site projects visits to monitor and ensure systems are followed.
    • Work with the teams to remove obstacles and report when process and procedures falling outside Solar guidelines
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of progressive construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
  • Working knowledge of P6 scheduling software (Primavera 6)
