Summary:
Professional, supervisory and administrative work primarily involving the daily operations and management of the Post Closing department including processing and managing closing files and documents, performing post close function and handling deficiencies. Primary objectives are to ensure an efficient and timely process for delivering loans to the secondary market department. Contacts are with department staff, co-workers, credit union members, and executive management. Provide direction and coaching to assigned production staff to ensure that all members are provided significant direct service and company procedures are compliant with all regulations.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Supervise the daily operations of the post closing department.

Manage the pipeline work flow of post closing files.

Provide supervision, direction and coaching to assigned staff.

Assist staff during high volumes.

Ensure departmental operations are communicated, trained and otherwise executed.

Create strong interdepartmental working relationships to include working with underwriting, secondary marketing, account executives and credit union liaisons.

Develop and communicate systems to streamline loan processes and work flow.

Develop and communicate standard operating procedures for department

Oversee the preparation of loan closing packages, instructions and delivery to title company to ensure they meet policy guidelines and compliance with agency regulations.

Comply with applicable consumer laws, regulations, company guidelines, etc.

Prepare required reports as necessary.

Maintain the confidentiality of all information processed.

Perform related duties as required.
Supervisory: Directly supervise post closing staff. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. These may include interviewing, hiring, training and managing employees; assigning and directing work; evaluating and rewarding performance; correcting performance issues; and addressing and resolving employee complaints and concerns, or referring the to the Human Resources Department.
Education (or Equivalent Experience):
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field required or equivalent number of years of experience at managerial level.
Experience:
A minimum of five years experience in the mortgage industry with at least three years experience in a management position.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Proven excellent reporting, letter preparation, group presentation and other related communications skills.

Proficiency in using and learning mortgage loan software.

Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret professional journals, reports, and related legal documents or instructions related to mortgage banking.

Ability to work under the stress of dealing with a wide range of personalities and monitoring and reviewing the many details of loans and loan packages to ensure completeness, accuracy and funding.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executives, managers, employees and vendors.

Ability to attend meetings or perform other assignments at locations outside the office, if necessary.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
