Job Description
ATS Labs is looking for a Microbiologist / DNA Analyst to work in a high paced laboratory environment identifying microorganisms using DNA sequencing techniques. The ideal candidate will work well independently as well as part of a team and will have some experience in methods in molecular biology, PCR, and DNA sequencing.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Annual Salary of $30,000-$34,000, DOQ.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for the following:
- Performing microbial identification analysis using automated DNA sequencing instruments.
- Analysis and interpretation of identification results.
- Receiving and processing customer samples.
- Performing basic microbiological techniques for bacteria/fungal identification.
- Generating and maintaining strict documentation of raw data in compliance with FDA cGMP regulations.
- Performing general laboratory duties and equipment maintenance.
- Keeping current on applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Working closely with Microbial Identification Lab Manager and as a team with other DNA analysts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in biology, microbiology, molecular biology or related science
- Experience using automated DNA sequencing instruments
- Experience analyzing and interpreting DNA sequencing data
- Experience working in a regulated environment (GMP)
- Experience performing basic microbiological techniques.
- Experience following standard operating procedures and methods
- Ability to operate in a detail-oriented, self-directed manner
- Strong written communication skills
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work independently and as a team
