Description | POSITION PURPOSE This position is responsible for supporting the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis in developing processes, methods and reports that enhance management's ability to make strategic and accurate business decisions that require in-depth financial planning and statistical analysis regarding current and future business performance. In addition, this person will effectively consolidate data and information to provide clear, actionable information to business leaders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Operational Performance Analysis: Perform analysis of CSM's varied real estate operations using assessments, trends, metrics, benchmarks, statistics and research to determine financial and operational performance against expected or forecasted performance. 2. Capital Investment/Divestiture Analysis: Perform analysis of specific potential capital transactions by determining expected performance and level of risk through the utilization and/or advancement of financial models and assessments. 3. Forecasting and Planning: Utilize and/or advance the organization's forecast tools and processes to ensure development of reliable, insightful and actionable short and long range forecasts of income and cashflow. 4. Ad-hoc Project Administration: On an ad-hoc basis, lead projects or processes to accomplish a specific objective. Examples of this would include, but are not limited to: due diligence of investment targets, market research, and statistical data collection. 5. Self Management: Responsible for effective self/workload management. Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication skills. Promotes collaboration and positive, professional work environment. Attends all daily, weekly and/or monthly department/hotel meetings to ensure proper communication/planning occurs. Adheres to all CSM Standard Operating Procedures. |
Requirements | REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Education: 4-year finance, accounting or economics degree required. MBA graduate degree preferred. Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Minimum 3 years experience in financial analysis or related field. Demonstrated ability to analyze raw financial data and produce conclusive results for business leaders. Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Excel software required. Proven ability to build solid working relationships and credibility through effective communication. Experience using business intelligence (BI) and business performance management (BPM) software applications preferred. Experience in commercial real estate preferred. |
