Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly organized, self-motivated and detail oriented Design Drafter to join our Prior Lake team, EM Products, to aid in the creation of exhaust systems.

RESPONSIBIITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Create parts, assemblies and drawing files in Solidworks
    • Update, create and maintain technical documentation for existing products
    • Assist in establishing drafting standards/procedures
    • Update and maintain drawing files
    • Support and maintain information in our ERP system (SAP)

COMPETENCIES:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An AAS degree focusing on Solidworks
  • Industry experience with part and assembly creation from proto-type to production
  • A passion to further explore greater functionality of Solidworks
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment

Computer Skills: Excel, Word, SAP, Solidworks

WORKING CONDITIONS: Lab / Office / factory environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

Education: Minimum of 2 years formal drafting education from an industry recognized institution.

Experience: May be a recent graduate

DESIRED:

Education: Solidworks, Additional post secondary courses related to mechanical Engineering, Advanced AutoCAD

Experience: 1 year previous experience using Solidworks within a Development Engineering department for the manufacturing industry.

Excellent communication and analytical skills.
