Job Description
Responsible for providing direction and resource to our Clinical Care Team Department to improve operations, enhance employee and patient satisfaction and facilitate provision of safe and efficient, high quality services.
Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • Current MN Registered Nurse License and BLS certification.
  • Technology Proficiency:  NextGen EPM and EMR (preferred), Microsoft products, including Outlook.
  • Time Management Skills. Ability to efficiently manage one’s time and work independently.
  • Active Learning.  Proficient with understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Service Orientation. Consistently aspires to determine opportunities to help co-workers and customers improve their experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Serves as patient/provider liaison to peri-operative patients through telephone calls and education.
  • Triages clinically oriented patient questions/concerns via phone calls per established protocols.
  • Understands and is able to utilize phone system and ACD operating queue.
  • Assists in reviewing and handling prescription questions or concerns.
  • Utilizes appropriate complaint management and service skills.
  • Performs calls back to patients in a timely fashion.
  • Directs patients to ER or hospital emergently as needed.
  • Educates patients on clinical treatment plans, procedures/testing and symptom management.
  • Works closely with the internal customers to identify trends or issues in the patient care process.
  • Works closely with physicians to ensure prompt patient care and reduction of liability.
  • Assists clinical staff on questions and concerns regarding patient care.
  • Maintains strict patient and employee confidentiality
  • Continues to further knowledge base through seminars, in-services, etc.
  • Complies with all OSHA and HIPAA policies along with all policies and procedures established by MSI.
  • Demonstrates behavior that is professional and commensurate with the position in accordance with Midwest Spine’s Standards of Behavior.
  • Maintains a professional and courteous environment.
  • Maintains strict patient and employee confidentiality.
  • Performs other routine duties as requested
