The Senior Maintenance Technician will have the Mechanical and Electrical skills to trouble shoot, repair, install, adjust, and perform routine maintenance on all the industrial, production, and facilities equipment. This position requires a higher Mechanical and Electrical skill set.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Applies good, advanced trouble shooting techniques. Able to interpret and use technical documentation and schematics to solve operational problems on the production equipment. Follows up to ensure the fix was correct for the reported problem. This individual is expected to be the ‘go to person’ for all the harder trouble shooting problems and other instances where a higher degree of Electrical and Mechanical skill or knowledge is required. The scope will include diagnostics and repair for production and facilities equipment. Documents all work performed, parts used and other data as needed on the work order, posts work hours and closes work order. Repairs minor HVAC problems that will include control operations and basic theory. Performs preventive maintenance work instructions accurately and completes required documentation on all equipment following established schedules.
  • Assembles and installs mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components following documentation or verbal instructions accurately and on time. Basic fabrication using current shop tools to manufactures or repair items when needed. Welding, lathe, Bridgeport, or other supplied equipment.
  • Fully engaged in the 5S/lean, tier management for organization, cleans personal and job site areas daily. Returns tools to proper locations as part of lean. All parts used, work performed and other paper work properly completed and documented. Participates in contributing and completion of continuous improvement suggestion, A3 and projects for improvement.
  • Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.
 
The candidate will have a High school diploma or equivalent.  Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance repair position performing in the above scope of work. Must be able to demonstrate the Technical Skills required for this position. Must be self-starter and work under minimal supervision. Must be able to understand verbal instructions. Must be able to read and comprehend technical instructions. Prefer successfully completed trade school certificate in electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic or HVAC course work with 3 years of experience.
