Job Description

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

 

Order Management:
  • Manages the Purchasing Process, which includes:
    • Assisting internal customers with sourcing supplies and prototypes.
    • Processing purchase requisitions, including order placement and confirmation.
    • Matching the purchase order, packing list, and purchase receipt for Accounting.
      • Work with appropriate parties to resolve issues with receipts and invoices. 
    • Keeping internal customers informed of delivery dates.
    • Coordinating the procurement and delivery of assigned commodities from suppliers.
    • Coordinating the return of products to suppliers.
  • Researches and recommends suppliers to internal customers.
  • Coordinates dispositions of NCMR’s.
  • Receives incoming shipments and moves inventory throughout the ERP system.
Inventory monitoring:
  • Regularly monitors on-site inventories and works with Sr. Supply Chain Manager to take appropriate action to replenish.
  • Performs cycle counts of product.
  • May assist Operations Group with year-end inventory process counts at remote sites and on site.

 

Supplier Performance & Relationship Management:
  • Cultivates relationships with key partners including regular communication as deemed appropriate by management.
  • On occasion visit supplier sites and may assist with supplier audits.
Other:
  • Provide assistance to Sr. Supply Chain Manager with updating and maintaining supply chain portion of ERP system.
  • Provide assistance to Sr. Supply Chain Manager in determining reorder points, warehouse stocking levels and Kanban levels for Manufacturing.

 

 

 
Minimum:

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience placing purchase orders, managing suppliers and/or contract manufacturers.
  • Domestic sourcing experience
  • Previous experience within supply planning, sourcing, and supplier management.
  • Knowledge of business processes and ERP/MRP systems.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships across all levels both within and outside of the organization.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to work both autonomously with limited supervision and as part of a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and maintain high levels of communication and feedback with peers, management and various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sourcing and Supply Chain within a medical device manufacturing company.
  • Expert knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; preferably Microsoft Navision.
  • Knowledgeable in Supply Chain requirements of ISO 13485.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of quality system expectations.
  • ISM and or APICS certified.
