The Network Operations Center (NOC) Java Developer position requires knowledge and experience in software development processes, software design, implementation, documentation and testing.  Duties will include but are not limited to following technologies:  Java, C++, C#, ASP.NET, WCF and SOAP Services. Additional development will be required in specialized protocols related to network and telecommunications operational support systems such as DHCP, DNS, SNMP, TR-69, RADIUS and DIAMETER in both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.

Position Responsibilities :   
 
  • Design and implementation reviews of existing code and services of the LocaLoopNet product; update code to coding standards along with documentation. .
  • Continuation development and maintenance of existing applications designed to support DHCP and DNS protocols
  • Design, development, implementation and testing of product device-specific adapters in the NOC and cloud environment, and the virtualization of the AAA Server in LocaLoop’s Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
  • Work with the software development team to implement and maintain development and test environment in the NOC services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
 
 
Essential Functions
 
  • Work with Business System Analysts, Testers and Product Owners to improve current product design and architecture.
  • Write and maintain Unit Tests and participate in development and maintenance of product test automation.
  • Follow development coding standards, conventions and best practices.
  • Provide input to assist in overall team process improvement and product design stability.
  • Properly track issues and resolutions in relation to the development effort.
  • Communicate and document project statuses to product management team.
  • Understand and follow Agile process and delivery methodology.
  • Ensure code stability, reliability, maintainability, confidentiality, and integrity.
 
Job Requirements
  • 1-2 years of hands on Java SW coding experience

  • Must have at least 2 years of application development experience using Java

  • In-depth knowledge of Java in both Linux and Window environments

  • In-depth knowledge of OOD, OOA and Design patterns.

  • Knowledge of web content presentation methods (HTML, Javascript, SOAP Services, WCF, etc.).
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communication clearly in written and verbal form.
  • Exceptional problem solving abilities.
 
Candidates demonstrating additional experience or capabilities in these areas are also encouraged to apply:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Experience with telecommunications OSS systems
  • Experience in near-real time transaction processing
  • Experience in network infrastructure, network routing protocols, network security  (EAP, PKI, SSL and certificate management)
