Company Overview
Architecture Technology Corporation (ATCorp) http;//www.atcorp.com, established in 1981 is a privately held company with offices in Minneapolis, MN, Washington, DC, Ithaca, NY and Rome, NY. ATC provides engineering services, technology research and development and software products for projects requiring state-of-the-art products and technology.

We believe in having a positive impact on people’s lives. We accomplish this by working on state of the art technologies, real time large scale projects for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and by working on Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) initiatives.

The Research and Development(R&D) Division applies advanced engineering techniques and methodologies from the fields of wireless networking and network security, network protocol engineering, software engineering, software design, network design, ad hoc wireless networks, network security and software development, combined with expertise in C and C++ to meet our customer's demands  for high-performance, high-reliability, real-time systems.

We are seeking talented individuals who work independently to conceive cutting-edge ideas and who relish working in a team setting to convert these ideas into game-changing products. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting design & development of innovative computing and communications technologies for mission-critical applications.

R&D computer scientist/computer engineer positions are, located in either Minneapolis, M.N. or Ithaca, N.Y. and specialize in the design and development of design & implementation of next-generation networking and cyber security products.

ATCorp's R&D Computer Scientist/Computer Engineer positions specialize in the design, development and  implementation of next-generation networking and cyber security products, proposal writing and give our engineers the freedom to choose what projects/contracts you work on*.

R&D Projects include:
  • DARPA sponsored Phase II SBIR successfully demonstrated full-scale prototypes of the nomadic router, a network function that can be implemented either in hardware or within the software of mobile wireless computers.
  • WirlWind—WIReLess Wide area INciDent network. WirlWind research and development effort leverages three existing ATCorp technologies (SARA, MobiWeb and GeoTIDeS) with newly developed multiband ad hoc communication technology.
  • US Army sponsored Phase II SBIR effort, successfully built a prototype of XML compression software (CompreX) that demonstrated the feasibility of using schema aware, context aware and document differencing to provide better compression performance than traditional general purpose compressors.
  • OnLine Digital Forensic Suite (OnLineDFS) aids investigators and administrators with the forensic task of system assessment following a suspected intrusion and the potential compromise of a host.

Qualified R&D candidates will have at a minimum:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related area, Master’s degree or Doctorate a plus
  • Demonstrated software design and development expertise in C and C++ (or Java)
  • Professional experience or academic background in network protocol engineering ad hoc wireless networks, and network security
  • TCP/IP networking stack on Linux or Unix kernels
  • Emerging wireless networking technologies and standards
  • Background in military tactical networks highly desired

The System Engineering and Software Development (SE&SD) Division applies advanced engineering techniques and methodologies from the fields of systems engineering, enterprise architecture, software engineering, software design, network design, system and network management, fault tolerance, and performance engineering to meet our customer's demands  for high-performance, high-reliability, real-time systems.

SE&SD engineering positions are located in Washington D.C. and specialize in the design and development of large-scale, real-time, state-of-the-art systems. These are challenging opportunities to work in the fields of system engineering and real-time systems (e.g., air traffic control, runway safety).  Here is your opportunity to work with the Federal Aviation Administration.

SE&SD Projects include:
  • FAA's Terminal Automation Modernization and Replacement Phase 3 Program,  developed the Enterprise Architecture, Safety Risk Management documents, Procurement Specification and related documents
  • FAA's Final Approach Runway Occupancy Signal (FAROS), developed, installed and tested the at the City of Long Beach and Dallas/Fort Worth airports
  • FAA’s Runway Status Program, ATC is supporting the Runway Status Program and the Low-cost Ground Surveillance System programs
  • Developed, installed, tested and currently oversees the operational evaluation of the FAA's Final Approach Runway Occupancy Signal, a runway safety technology designed to reduce air traffic accidents

Qualified System Engineering candidates will have a minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or and a technical background in:

  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Software Metrics Qualifications
  • System Engineering, system design and requirements specification
  • Air traffic control systems and applications / FAA experience
  • System Performance Engineering, Modeling and Measurement
  • Risk Assessment
  • Reliability, Maintainability and Availability

All candidates will be required to pass a background check. Per government contract requirements, candidates for these positions must be a citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence.
