Since its beginning, Minnwest Bank has been dedicated to community involvement. You'll find our bankers and representatives involved in local foundations, county economic development corporations, charities, food shelves and local social organizations. You'll see them in the town parade or organizing a charity bike ride. You'll even discover them teaching kids about money and finances.

Our interest in our communities started two decades ago when Minnwest Corporation, a family-owned company, acquired seven community banks. While Minnwest Bank was officially founded in 1987, some of the branches have over 125 years of helping the people and business owners of southwest Minnesota build their dreams. From those seven banks, Minnwest slowly grew over the years, acquiring some branches in various communities and opening new offices in others. Our primary customers were, and still continue today to be, families and family-owned businesses. They are farm businesses, retailers, residential construction, small manufacturing, distributors and commercial builders. . . individually-owned or closely-held businesses.
 

We've Grown into a Solid Financial Company

Today, Minnwest continues to be a family-owned banking operation. And, Minnwest Bank has grown into one of Minnesota's largest banks with over $1.5 billion in assets and 24 offices in 19 communities throughout Minnesota and South Dakota. Minnwest Bank is a preferred SBA lender and participates in State and Federal loan programs such as SBA, FSA, Rural Finance Authority and South Dakota Dept. of Agriculture.  Minnwest Bank is currently Minnesota's second largest agricultural bank in farm lending.

Minnwest Bank's long-term objective is to serve the Twin Cities metro area and regional centers in and around Minnesota. We plan to establish additional banks in markets we think we can bring our expertise, experience and capabilities to our market niche. . . and continue with our community involvement.
