The late Ambrose Ramler founded Ramler Trucking, Inc. in Albany, MN in 1954.

In the early years, Ambrose provided transportation of farm animals from local farmers to the South St. Paul stockyards. On his return trip, he would backhaul feed products, hardware supplies, building products and liquor to the area merchants. In 1982 Ambrose retired.

Later, Jack & Doris Ramler and Greg & Sue Ramler entered the business in 1975 and 1982 respectively. Since then, our operation has grown to 60 tractors including 32 company and 28 Owner/Operators. Our trailers consist of 92 refrigerated trailers, 14 tanker trailers, 3 dry vans, 37 flat beds for hauling precast cement, 4 rental trailers, and we employ 60 personnel.

Jack handles payroll and human resources. Greg handles daily operations. Chris, Brian, Eric, James, Tammy and Kim are the dispatchers.

Doris, Ingrid and Chas are in billing and payroll. Sue is our log auditor, HR and Safety Rep.

One of our largest customers is Gold N Plump Poultry with plants in Cold Spring, & Luverne, MN & Arcadia, WI. We provide them with plant to plant transfers and also deliver their chicken products to distribution centers in the East, Southeast and Upper Midwest.

In our tankers, we haul inedible animal BI-products. This is used as an ingredient for dog and cat foods.

In the past Great West Casualty Co. as part of their National Fleet Safety Awards Program presented Ramler Trucking, Inc. a Platinum award. This makes it the thirteenth consecutive year that we received the award, and is attributed to our high quality drivers and mechanics.

We also operate Ramler Truck Brokerage Inc. With this company, we can broker any additional loads to other carriers that our fleet is too busy to handle. Doing this, we can meet our customers’ needs and earn an extra profit on the side.

Ramler Truck and Trailer Repair, Inc. was established in 1999. In late 2000 we moved into our new fourteen bay facility on 13th Street. We recently expanded the building to twenty-two bays, which brings the building to 27,000 square feet.

We now employ twelve full-time mechanics,  two parts salespersons, and four part time shop assistants. Our building is located on 13th St. across from the water tower. Our mechanics can perform anything from engine overhauls to refrigerated trailer repairs, to tire repairs and heavy duty truck alignment.

An additional service we offer is that we added a Robotic VIS aluminum wheel polishing machine. This machine can take an old oxidized and pitted wheel and give it a mirror like shine.
