In 1974 the late Joseph Durda and his son, Dan Durda, founded Aeration Industries® International with the dream of creating a planet with sustainable clean water. Since its founding, Aeration Industries® International has developed and applied aspirator aeration, and other advanced technologies, in a variety of imaginative ways to help the world’s major water users achieve and maintain clean, safe water supplies. Carrying the torch now is Brian Cohen, President & CEO, grandson of Joe Durda and the third generation pioneering our company into the future. Our dream is our drive, because life depends on clean water.

We’re headquartered in the beautiful Midwest and we’re proud to call suburban Minneapolis our home. It’s here that we maintain offices and a manufacturing plant that houses a one-of-a kind 100,000 gallon research and development test pool facility.

The largest users of our technologies are industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants. These are used for water quality management and to increase yields in aquaculture. We’re very excited that our clean water technology is becoming increasingly popular for use on golf courses and commercial ponds, lake, river and harbor restorations.

There are currently thousands of installations in all 50 of the U.S. states, and more than 92 countries around the world using our wastewater products. More than 65,000 of our trusted Aire-O2® aerators systems are in operation at these sites.
