Company Overview
At the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation (MMRF), we have been actively investigating the causes of and potential treatments for diseases since 1952. We support and oversee the medical research conducted at Hennepin County Medical Center, an acute care research and teaching hospital located in downtown Minneapolis. In an academic environment that emphasizes patient care, research, and teaching, MMRF helps offer patients better care now and hope for improved healthcare in the future.

MMRF is the third largest medical research non-profit in Minnesota and ranks in the top seven percent nationally of all institutions receiving research grants from the National Institutes of Health. While public monies support a majority of our research, our work would not be possible without the support of corporate and individual donors.

MMRF has undergone a rigorous process to earn accreditation from the leading, independent organizations that accredit institutions that conduct medical research trials on human subjects - the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP), and animal subjects - the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC). Earning accreditation from these organization is indicative of our committment to maintaining the highest level of ethical standards and practices in our medical research programs.
