Company OverviewWashburn Center for Children is a non-profit agency that provides assessment, consultation and therapeutic services for children, families and schools in the Twin Cities metro-area.The mission of Washburn Center for Children is to help children at risk lead successful lives. This mission is accomplished by providing diagnostic, therapeutic and education services to children and their families who are experiencing or who are at risk to experience emotional and/or behavioral problems. Washburn Center promotes building family strengths to support children, emphasizes a preventative approach to mental health problems and stresses the development of positive self-esteem in children. The children and youth Washburn Center for Children serves have a variety of problems which may include: depression, difficulty adjusting to family changes, parental chemical dependency, physical or sexual abuse, poor social skills and low self-esteem. Data from testing and interviews with parents, children and professionals are used to make a diagnosis and suggest appropriate treatment plans and interventions.
